SideQuest Philippines ("SideQuest," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through sidequestph.com (the "Site"), why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
We act as a personal information controller under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC). If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we also honor your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Project inquiries: your full name, email address, company (optional), the service you are interested in, and your message.
- Newsletter sign-ups: your email address.
- Emails and calls: anything you choose to share when you contact us directly.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Security checks: when you submit our contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are not a bot. This involves your IP address and basic browser and device signals. We also record the IP address sent with your inquiry to help prevent spam and abuse.
- Analytics (only if you accept): if you click "Accept Cookies," Google Analytics 4 collects information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location (city or country), device and browser type, and the website that referred you. If you reject analytics or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and prepare a proposal or recommendation. We rely on your request and on steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract.
- To send our newsletter, based on your consent. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse, based on our legitimate interest in protecting our systems.
- To understand and improve the Site through analytics, only with your consent.
- To comply with legal obligations, such as tax, accounting, or lawful requests from authorities.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the Site footer. If you withdraw consent, we stop loading Google Analytics and delete its cookies from your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
5. Who we share your information with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the Site and our business, under agreements that require them to protect it:
- Cloudflare, Inc. for bot protection (Turnstile) and network security.
- Google LLC for website analytics (Google Analytics 4), only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Our inquiry and newsletter systems, operated by SideQuest at api.sidequestph.com, which store the details you submit.
- Our web hosting and email providers, which store the Site and our correspondence.
We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a government authority, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
6. International data transfers
Some of our service providers, including Cloudflare and Google, may process data outside the Philippines. When this happens, we rely on the providers' contractual and security safeguards to keep your information protected to a standard comparable to Philippine law.
7. How long we keep your information
- Inquiries: up to 3 years after our last conversation, unless you become a client, in which case we keep project records for the duration of the engagement and as required by law.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics: Google Analytics event data is retained for up to 14 months.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it securely.
8. How we protect your information
We use organizational, physical, and technical measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), bot protection on our forms, and access controls on the systems that store your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the NPC of a personal data breach when required by law.
9. Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to:
- Be informed about how your personal information is processed;
- Access your personal information;
- Object to processing, including withdrawing your consent at any time;
- Have inaccurate information corrected (rectification);
- Have your information erased or blocked when it is no longer necessary or was unlawfully obtained;
- Obtain a copy of your information in a portable format (data portability);
- Be indemnified for damages caused by inaccurate, incomplete, or unlawfully obtained information; and
- File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

11. Complaints to the National Privacy Commission
If you believe we have not handled your personal information properly, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. You may also file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph (opens in a new tab).
12. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Links to other websites
The Site may link to other websites, such as client projects or social media platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, if we change how we use cookies or analytics, we will ask for your consent again.
